Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is a pleasure to me to invite you to take part in the international conference «Achievements and Problems of Modern Egyptology», which will be organized by the Centre for Egyptological Studies of the RAS under the auspices of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The conference will take place in Moscow on September 29–October 2, 2009.

This conference is organized to  celebrate the centenary of acquiring the Egyptian collection of the famous Russian Egyptologist Vladimir  S. Golenischev by the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts.

Our main goal of the conference is to share experience between scholars of different countries and to discuss the latest achievements in the field of Egyptology and Egyptian archaeology, study of history, culture, religion and languages of Ancient, Graeco-Roman and Coptic Egypt.

The conference will certainly become a significant event, and we will do our best to held it on the highest level.
